Van der Waerden's Theorem is a fundamental result in Ramsey theory stating that for any number of colours (r) and any required length (k), there's a large enough number (N) such that any colouring of the integers from 1 to N with r colours must contain a monochromatic arithmetic progression of length k, guaranteeing pattern repetition even with many colours.
